Shine those shoes and pick out a new dress….
As if we didn’t have enough exciting things going on around Zillow these days, we recently learned that we have been nominated for a Webby Award! If you aren’t familiar with these, the New York Times hailed them as the “Oscars of the Internet.” This is the 12th year they have conducted the awards, and this year they received nearly 10,000 entries from all 50 states and 60 countries worldwide. Of the 100 different categories, we’re a finalist in Real Estate , and are up for both the traditional Webby Award, as well as the People’s Voice Award.
Voting started earlier this week for the People’s Voice award, and will run through May 1st. Be sure to cast your vote here!
For the traditional Webbys, the 550 individuals who are members of The International Academy of Digital Arts and Science will vote on their own picks. The organization includes the who’s who of all things digital– including some well-known names: David Bowie, Richard Branson, Harvey Weinstein and Arianna Huffington not to mention folks at the leading US publications The New York Times, Fast Company, LA Times and WIRED. The awards will be announced on May 6th, and honored on June 10th in New York.
Congratulations to everyone who has been nominated– and good luck finding that perfect outfit!
