We have added more functionality and local market data to the Zillow API that we thought you might want to know about.
1. Additional functionality
You can now query our GetDemographics API call by ZIP code (originally only available by city/neighborhood). Sample – http://www.zillow.com/webservice/GetDemographics.htm?zws-id=<ZWS-ID>&zip=98119
You can now query our GetRegionChart API call by neighborhood (originally only available by ZIP code/city). Sample – http://www.zillow.com/webservice/GetRegionChart.htm?zws-id=<ZWS-ID>&city=seattle&state=WA&neighborhood=Belltown&unit-type=percent&width=300&height=150
2. More market data added to GetDemographics API. The new data fields include:
- Median list price
- Median value per square foot
- Median sale price
- Number of homes for sale
- Median list price per square foot
- Percent listing price reduction
- Percent homes decreasing
- Number of homes sold
While the Local Market Explorer we’re working on prompted these additions, now all members of the Zillow API program can benefit from the added functionality and data now available. We look forward to see what great innovation comes as a result of the added flexibility! If you have suggestions or questions, we’d love to hear them — please leave them in our forum.
