Shopping for homes just got a serious upgrade. Again. Almost one year, and over 1 million downloads after the introduction of our massively popular iPhone App, Zillow is re-inventing home shopping, this time with Zillow on iPad.
Zillow on iPad was a chance for Zillow to completely re-imagine the home shopping experience, on a new, innovative technology canvas. The iPad opened up a host of new and better ways to shop for homes, and we’ve designed a photo-driven home shopping experience built specifically for the Apple’s interactive multi-touch device, available today for free on the App Store on iPad.
Zillow on iPad frees you from the traditional constraints of a keyboard or mobile screen by presenting homes in a more intuitive and playful touch interface:
Window shop the neighborhood – Zillow has built a brand new shopping interface, completely unique to the iPad, that starts with photos. Leveraging the iPad’s high resolution, 9.7” multi-touch screen, we’ve re-imagined home shopping as a photo-led shopping experience. View large images of multiple homes side-by-side; quickly flick thru preview photos of one home versus another, or pick a home and browse large, nearly full-screen images.
See more, shop more – Zillow on iPad shows more information, in a more intuitive interface. You can see more homes on a map; see home details and photos side-by-side with the map; and quickly browse, flicking thru photos of a home, or home-by-home, all from one simple, interactive interface. A new, and better, way to shop homes.
Drag & Drop; Save for later – Find a home you like? Simply drag and drop it into your favorites to save for later – viewable on your iPad, your iPhone, or Zillow.com.
And do all the other fun things you’d expect – set custom filters to refine home searches by price, size or type. Share homes of interest via email or Facebook®. When interested in a home, shoppers can also email the agent, owner or landlord right from the app.
And since the iPad doesn’t hit shelves until tomorrow, here’s a quick preview of what’s in store…
