It’s been a while since we talked about data coverage. The whole team here has been working hard to keep adding more homes to our database, calculate more and better Zestimate values, and improve our latency with regards to the latest home transactions.
Since our last post on the subject in April we have added about a million and a half homes to the site, bringing us to a new total of 66,774,865 homes in our database. Meanwhile our number of homes with Zestimates is approaching 48 million!
And in many areas, our data latency (how quickly home sales show up in our database) is improving substantially. For example, in several areas of the country we’re showing transactions that occured as recently as last week. For example, this home in Lakewood, California just sold last week. So did this home in Portland, Oregon and this one in the Bronx, New York.
We’ve still got work to do but appreciate your feedback and suggestions on our beta site. Stay tuned for more…
