If you are a homeowner who wants to refinance and you have questions about the Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP), your timing is perfect.
Zillow is hosting a Google+ Hangout titled “HARP Refinancing 101” with the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) at 11:30 a.m. PT (2:30 p.m. ET) on Oct. 3. It will be a forum dedicated to answering consumer questions about HARP.
How to submit questions
Homeowners interested in participating in the event should submit questions on Zillow’s Facebook page or through Zillow’s Twitter page, using the hashtag #HARPrefi.
If your question is chosen, you will be asked to present it live during the event to Meg Burns, the senior associate director for the office of housing and regulatory policy for the FHFA. In addition to answering questions, Burns will discuss the ins and outs of HARP, who qualifies and how to apply.
Erin Lantz, director of Zillow Mortgage Marketplace, will moderate the event.
“Even though HARP has been around for four years, estimates show that many more homeowners still stand to benefit from the program,” Lantz said. “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to connect these homeowners directly with the people who can answer their questions about this refinancing program.”
