Happy Thanksgiving from all of us here at Zillow! We have a lot to be thankful for these days — from the awards and positive feedback we have received about what we’re doing, to our stellar location, cool staff, and of course, the free drinks. We are humbled to be rated as one of the best places to work.
Onto Thanksgiving. A few new trends have emerged in recent years that have become water-cooler fodder around here: Turducken and deep-frying a turkey. As for the turkducken, we have to admit that we are a bit overwhelmed by the idea. But the real element of concern can be a deep-fried turkey incident gone awry. Here’s a factoid to think about if you’re going to deep-fry that bird: "Allstate Insurance said 15 homes burned to the ground around the country last Thanksgiving as a result of the improper use of turkey fryers." Hint: Keep the house, kids and pets away from the deep-fryer and have a heavy duty fire extinguisher ready. Or, the fire department’s phone number.
Here are some delicious recipes that we are hoping to try out, that we thought we would share with you. As with every holiday season, Martha is a goddess in the kitchen.
