Today, Zillow Group is honored to be named one of Fortune’s Best Workplaces for Women. This award is especially meaningful to us because it is based entirely on feedback from our women employees.
At Zillow Group, our employees are our greatest asset. We work hard to build and maintain a culture where everyone can feel like they belong and has the support and resources to do the best work of their career. Our efforts to support women in our workplace include:
- Focusing on equitable hiring practices, like requiring all managers and employees who interview candidates to go through Unconscious Bias Training, and not asking candidates for their prior compensation history (which can introduce bias into hiring).
- Conducting gender compensation analysis to ensure employees doing comparable work are paid equitably.
- Eight employee-led Affinity Networks for connection, community and awareness – like the Women’s Impact Network, Asian Pacific Islander Network, Billow (Black/African Ancestry), ADAPT (Disabilities), Pride Network (LGBTQ+), Veterans Network, Latinos Unidos Network, and the Multigenerational Network.
- Generous parental policies like, 16 weeks paid maternity leave and eight weeks for non-delivering parents, free breast milk shipping for nursing mothers traveling for business, and fully-equipped mothers’ rooms with hospital grade pumps and fridges.
Efforts to build and maintain a culture where everyone can feel like they belong requires an ongoing commitment, and there is no ‘mission accomplished.’ We look forward to continuing our work in this space.
