Here at Zillow’s Seattle headquarters, we’re celebrating two things today: the unusual and brilliant January sunshine (above photo from our office windows), and a December that blew the socks off our traffic records.
Closing the books on December, Zillow logged more than 13 million unique visitors during the month, which is a whopping 77 percent increase over December 2009.
This makes December the most trafficked month for Zillow since our launch in 2006. Happy New Year!
You can read more in today’s press release, but a few other milestones we achieved in 2010:
- Zillow announced our partnership with Yahoo! Real Estate, which creates the Zillow/Yahoo! Real Estate Network. Zillow now sells real estate advertising for both sites and, beginning soon, will power all for-sale listings on Yahoo! Real Estate.
- Zillow now operates the #1 real estate apps on the iPhone, iPad and Android platforms. In fact, people now view homes 20,000 times an hour on Zillow Mobile (with record breaking mobile traffic over the holidays).
- Zillow Mortgage Marketplace became Zillow’s fastest-growing business in 2010, now receiving nearly 300,000 consumer loan requests each month.
- Spencer Rascoff was promoted to CEO of Zillow in September.
Here’s to an even better 2011!
