We’ve closed the books on a record traffic month at Zillow. More than 30 million unique users visited Zillow’s websites and mobile apps during January.
The growth was across all segments, but particularly strong in mobile, where Zillow has the most popular suite of real estate apps across every major platform. During January weekends (prime home-shopping days), up to 40% of Zillow’s traffic came from a mobile device. These mobile shoppers viewed over 140 million homes during the month on mobile – that’s 53 homes per second!
In the real estate industry, we’re often asked how Zillow’s traffic compares to other sites, on a local level and nationally. Unfortunately, third-party measurement services don’t log mobile usage, but we can show you comScore data for website usage across the category. Below is comScore’s latest report from January showing the top sites. This charts national usage; on a local level, the Yahoo!-Zillow Network is the #1 or #2 real estate brand in all 20 of the top 20 local markets in the United States.
