For the third consecutive year, we are honored to place on Fortune and Great Place to Work’s Best Workplaces for Women list!
One of our company’s top priorities has always been developing a best-in-class team and a high-performance culture where employees can take on some of the most impactful and innovative work of their lifetime. This award is especially meaningful because it is largely based on anonymous survey details our women employees shared about the programs and practices that make Zillow Group unique, and how fairly those experiences compared to the men at Zillow Group. A few of the top reasons for our ranking include:
- Gender Diverse Hiring Panels: Zillow Group’s use of gender diverse hiring panels has increased the number of women hired by an average of 14 percent, with some teams seeing increases as high as 26 percent.
- Meaningful work: Our work affects one of the biggest decisions a person can make – the place they will call ‘home.’ No matter what job our employees are in, each person plays a critical role in building transformational tools and services that make it easier for everyone to find and get into a home they love.
- Pay Equity: Women at Zillow Group earn $1.01 for every dollar a man with similar skills and experience makes in a comparable role. We analyze our pay for equity twice a year to ensure there are no discrepancies.
- Inclusive Benefits: While not all women are mothers, we do provide inclusive benefits to those who are – like 16 weeks of paid leave for delivering mothers and eight weeks to non-delivering parents, emergency back-up childcare, and free overnight breastmilk shipping for mothers traveling on business.
- Learning and Career Development Opportunities: Our Learning & Development team empowers employees to increase their knowledge, build their skills, and own their careers. Our internal mobility team helps employees find new opportunities at the company, Insights Training provides a chance for employees to learn more about workplace relationships, and Careers Onstage gives employees an opportunity to learn about colleagues career paths and how it might inspire their own.
We are also proud of the representation of women at Zillow Group (though we know there is always more work that can be done!) Over the past year during a time of rapid growth, we were able to improve the percentage of women in leadership roles by one point.
